Joachim Coers is Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO and Director of Industrial Relations of Tognum AG. He is also President and CEO of the Tognum subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH as well as its Director of Industrial Relations. Born in 1965, Coers graduated in economics at the University of Bonn in 1991 and began his career in 1993 at the former Daimler-Benz Group. He remained at the Financial Planning department of debis Marketing Service GmbH in Frankfurt (Main) until 1995 before spending two years in Accounting and Controlling at the debis Trading division in Berlin. He subsequently joined Freightliner Corporation in Portland, USA, as head of Product and Production Controlling. From 2000 to 2001 he held responsibility for commercial affairs at the Marketing and Services division of Adtranz DaimlerChrysler Rail Systems GmbH in Berlin. In February 2001, he was appointed Senior Executive Officer responsible for Corporate Controlling at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. In 2005, Coers was appointed Executive Vice President of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH with responsibility for Human Resources and Finance & Controlling. When Tognum AG was founded in 2007, he took on the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, CFO, head of the Human Resources and Corporate Services divisions and Director of Industrial Relations. Dr. Ulrich Dohle is Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and CTO of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Technology & Operations division. He is also a member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH and has responsibility for L’Orange GmbH. Dohle was born in Duisburg in 1953. After completing a degree in engineering at the RWTH technical university in Aachen, specializing in combustion engines, he gained a doctoral degree in stationary combustion. From 1984 to 2009 he worked for Stuttgart-based Robert Bosch GmbH in a variety of positions. These covered both development and manufacturing and also involved nine years spent in the USA and UK. A member of the Board of Management from 1998, Dohle’s final position was as President of Diesel Systems, the company’s largest business segment. Since May 2009, Dr Ulrich Dohle has been a member of the Executive Board of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Technology & Operations division together with the functions Development, Purchasing and Production with Quality Assurance. In October 2011, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Tognum AG. |

Peter Kneipp is a member of the Executive Board of Tognum AG and COO with responsibility for the business units Engines and Onsite Energy. He is also a member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Peter Kneipp was born in 1958 in Heilbronn. He gained a degree in engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt before joining MTU Friedrichshafen as Project Manager for marine propulsion systems in 1989. At an early stage in his career he was involved in projects which enabled him to gain wide experience in the Asia-Pacific region where he lived and worked from 1997 to 2010. In 2000, Kneipp transferred to Australia where he was Managing Director of the subsidiary MTU Detroit Diesel Australia for several years. Following an interim period in the USA at MTU Detroit Diesel, in 2004 he was appointed President and CEO of the Tognum subsidiary MTU Asia Ltd. Since January 2011, Peter Kneipp has been a member of the Executive Board with responsibility for the business unit Engines. In October 2011, he also assumed responsibility for the business unit Onsite Energy. |

Dieter Royal is a member of the Executive Board and CFO of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Corporate Services division. He is also a member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Dieter Royal was born in 1964 and began his career in 1992 in investment banking with Dresdner Bank AG where he held various management positions in the leveraged finance and capital markets departments at the bank’s offices in Frankfurt, New York and São Paulo offices until 1999. Following a further four years as CEO of a private equity company in Düsseldorf, in 2003 he was appointed head of Group Controlling and Corporate Development at the Stuttgart-based plant and systems engineering group Coperion. In 2006, the qualified economist transferred to the MDAX-listed systems engineering specialist and robot manufacturer KUKA AG. As head of the Investor Relations and M&A section, Royal was primarily responsible for repositioning the former IWKA AG in 2006/2007. Since 2007, Dieter Royal has headed Corporate Finance at Tognum AG. In October 2011, he was appointed CFO with responsibility for Corporate Services. |
