Volker Heuer is Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Tognum AG and President and CEO of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Volker Heuer was born in Paderborn in 1953. After graduating in engineering from Paderborn University, Heuer joined Daimler-Benz AG in 1977 as a design engineer for body development in the Commercial Vehicles Division. From 1980, he held various management positions in the R & D division of the Group. As Department Manager of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil, he initially built up the bodywork design area, and three years later he took over the Development Affiliate Department for commercial vehicles at Mercedes-Benz Argentina before assuming responsibility for the main department for body development of light trucks and vans in Sindelfingen in 1988. He was subsequently appointed Director for the Development of Light Trucks and Vans in Untertürkheim. From 1996 he headed the production performance centers Vitoria and Barcelona of Mercedes-Benz España, where the Mercedes-Benz Vito and the VIANO series are produced. In August 2004, Volker Heuer took over as Head of DaimlerChrysler's former Off-Highway Business Unit and as President and CEO of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Since the establishment of Tognum AG in 2007, he has been its Chairman and CEO. |

Joachim Coers is Deputy Chairman and CFO of Tognum AG with responsibility for Finance, Controlling and Human Resources. In addition, he is Executive Vice President of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH and its Director of Industrial Relations. Joachim Coers was born in 1965. In 1991 he graduated in economics at the University of Bonn. He began his career in 1993 within the DaimlerChrysler Group in the Financial Planning Department of debis Marketing Service GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, where he remained until 1995. The next two years were spent as Senior Manager of the Accounting and Controlling Department of debis International Trading GmbH in Berlin. After that, Joachim Coers moved to Freightliner Corporation in Portland, USA, where he became Manager of Corporate Program Analysis and Strategic Controlling. From 2000 to 2001 he was active as Head of Marketing & Services Controlling at Adtranz DaimlerChrysler Rail Systems GmbH in Berlin. In February 2001, Joachim Coers became Senior Executive Officer responsible for Corporate Controlling at Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. Joachim Coers took over management of the MTU Top Project at MTU Friedrichshafen in September 2004. MTU Top is a company-wide program aimed at the improvement of corporate performance in all areas. In 2005, Joachim Coers was appointed as Executive Vice President of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Since the establishment of Tognum AG in 2007, he has been a Member of the Board of Management with responsibility for the Division Corporate Services. |

Dr. Gerd-Michael Wolters is a Member of the Executive Board and CTO of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Division “Technology & Operations”. In addition, he is Member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. He was born in Braunschweig in 1945. He studied at the University of Karlsruhe where he graduated in engineering before working as a research assistant at the university's "Institut für Kolbenmaschinen" from 1972 to 1979 and obtaining a doctorate in engineering in May 1978. In September 1979, Dr. Wolters joined the Design Research Department at MTU Friedrichshafen. In 1983 he became a technical advisor and two years later, Chief Technical Advisor. From 1987 onwards, he was in charge of the central Engine Design and Research Department. In June 1989 he was appointed as Head of the Design Division and Deputy Manager of the Development Division at MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Since 1992, Dr. Wolters has been Executive Vice President in charge of Operations (Production, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance). In April 1994, he also took on responsibility for the Development Division. Since the establishment of Tognum AG in 2007, he has been a Member of the Board of Management. |

Rainer Breidenbach is a Member of the Executive Board and COO of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Business Unit "Engines". In addition, he is Member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Rainer Breidenbach was born in 1955 in Bergisch-Gladbach. After training as a commercial specialist for industrial applications in Cologne, he completed studies in business management. From 1976 until 2001, Rainer Breidenbach held various global sales management positions with the diesel engine manufacturer Deutz AG where, from 1993, he was Senior Sales Executive for industrial engines. That same year, he became a Member of the Board of Management at Deutz Motor Industriemotoren GmbH. From November 1995 until the end of 1996, Breidenbach was Managing Director of Deutz Motor GmbH before he assumed responsibility as Senior Sales Executive and fully authorized representative of Deutz AG in 1997. In 1998, he was appointed as a Member of the Board of Management of Deutz AG. From November 2001 until February 2002, Rainer Breidenbach oversaw the re-orientation of the Eder Holding AG in Munich, before being appointed as Managing Director of Polaris GmbH in the summer of 2002. In October 2005 he was appointed Executive Vice President of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH responsible for the Division “Sales and Marketing”. Since the establishment of Tognum AG in 2007, he has been a Member of the Board of Management. |

Christof von Branconi is a Member of the Executive Board and COO of Tognum AG with responsibility for the Business Unit "Onsite Energy & Components". In addition, he is Member of the Board of Management of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH. Christof von Branconi was born in Essen in 1960 and on completion of commercial training his first appointment was with the industrial plant manufacturer Klöckner in Sao Paulo/Brazil. He subsequently completed a degree course in chemical engineering in Karlsruhe, graduating in 1987. A period as Assistant to the Board of Management at Klöckner Stahl GmbH was followed by a Master of Business Administration course in international management in Fontainebleau/France. From 1989 to 1992, Christof von Branconi worked for management consultants Arthur D. Little in Wiesbaden. In 1992, he moved to Frankfurt to join Lurgi AG, a globally active company in the plant construction and process engineering field. After holding management positions in corporate planning and corporate development, in 1995 Christof von Branconi joined the Board of Management of Lurgi Metallurgie GmbH, serving as Chairman from 1999 to 2002. Following the sale of the company, he joined the Board of Management at Polyamid 2000 AG, a recycling technology specialist, in which the parent company of Lurgi AG, now known as GEA AG, held an interest. On completion of a restructuring project at ThyssenKrupp HiServ GmbH, at the end of 2004 Christof von Branconi returned as Member of the Board of Management with responsibility for Engineering and Operations to Lurgi AG where he played a major role in the successful restructuring of the company. Since March 2007, Christof von Branconi has been reponsible for the Tognum Business Unit "Onsite Energy & Components" (previously: "Onsite Energy Systems & Components"). With the establishment of Tognum AG, he became a Member of the Board of Management. |
