HotModule! That’s the name of CFC Solutions’s high-temperature fuel cell, although its surface doesn’t even get warm. The name is derived from the technical principle by which the fuel-cell stack and all the hot system components are contained in a cylinder.
The HotModule is an environmentally friendly small power plant: The fuel cells’ emissions consist of water vapor and carbon dioxide; there is no trace of sulfur dioxide or nitrogen oxide.
The high-temperature fuel cells generate both electricity and heat with an electrical efficiency of nearly 50%.
CFC Solutions is the world’s first manufacturer to use biogas in carbonate fuel cells (CFC) to generate environmentally friendly and CO2-neutral energy in small, onsite power plants.
