MTU’s PowerPack is a complete system solution for under-floor installation in railcars. It is built around the 6H 1800 engine with output versions of 315 to 390 kW, which fulfills the EU Stage 3A and EPA Tier 3 emission limits and makes the PowerPack the railcar engine with the lowest emissions in the world. As an supplementary module, MTU supplies a diesel-particulate filter which also serves as a sound muffler.
