At the de Koninck greenhouses, roses are grown on a large scale. For this purpose, CO2 from the engine exhaust is used as a fertilizer and thermal energy to heat the greenhouses. The MDE energy plant fitted with a 12-cylinder Series 4000 engine provides 1165kW electric power and 1260kW thermal power.
