The town of Friedrichshafen, where our corporate headquarters are located, has a population of 60,000, making it the largest town in the Lake Constance district. Within 90 minutes, you can easily be at the international travel hub of Zurich, or use one of the numerous ferry connections to Constance, Lindau, Bregenz, and other destinations. From Friedrichshafen airport, flights go to many German cities and the Mediterranean region.
Being the district town, Friedrichshafen is home to a variety of educational institutions including five elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and a large vocational training center. Some 1000 students are enrolled at Zeppelin University, a private institution whose academic business programs rank among the top 10 in Germany. Further universities are located in Constance, 25 kilometers from Friedrichshafen.
