The new generation Series 4000 engine meets the EU Stage III B emission standards that will come into force as from 2012 with 2-stage charging system, exhaust gas recirculation system and particulate filter, and has already been certified by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority for these standards. The completely newly developed Series 1600 rail engine has been designed for the drive system of small shunting locomotives and railcars. The locomotive engine meets the EU Stage III B emission standards that will come into force as from 2012 with exhaust gas recirculation system and particulate filter, the railcar drive system with SCR catalytic converter. The 12-cylinder version will cover a power range from 565 to 690 kilowatts. Shown here: rail engine 12V 1600
