Tognum subsidiary MTU Detroit Diesel Australia Pty Ltd is to supply five diesel gensets and a natural gas compact tri-generation plant to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Perth, Australia. The equipment will be installed in the 3-floor building on site housing the hospital’s power facilities.

The five diesel gensets are to be used for the emergency power supply in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital. They are powered by 20V 4000 engines from MTU, each with an electrical output of 2.5 MW.

The natural gas tri-generation plant will provide power, heating and cooling in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital. It is powered by a 20V 4000 L63 natural gas engine delivering 2 MW of electrical and 2 MW of thermal power.
