MTU's "CaPoS" locomotive starter system (Capacitor Power System) for rail vehicles is a reliable, maintenance-free starting system with enhanced cold-start capabilities. Compared to conventional batteries, the system has significant size and weight benefits as well as a service life which is five times longer.
