In future, the MTU Materials Management Center in Kluftern near Friedrichshafen will supply production materials to the manufacturing facilities of Tognum subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen and to other Tognum locations. Modern materials logistics will be employed at the future Materials Management Center of Tognum subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen to optimize the supply of components to production facilities. Similar technology is already in operation at the Spare Parts Center in Überlingen (photo).

Materials Management Center: A big spade for a big project. At a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony, the `all-clear´ for the commencement of construction was given by (from left) Tognum Executive Board Chairman Volker Heuer, Regional District President Herrmann Strampfer, Stute-Verkehrs-GmbH CEO Christian Dieckhöfer, Tognum Executive Board Member with responsibility for Technology & Operations Dr. Ulrich Dohle, Administrator for the Lake Constance Local District Lothar Wölfle, Lord Mayor of Friedrichshafen Andreas Brand, Mayor of Immenstaad Jürgen Beisswenger and Regional Association Director Wilfried Franke. In future, the Materials Management Center will supply materials to the facilities in Friedrichshafen as well as other locations throughout the global production network.
