The Tognum Group has now purchased an existing building and the associated premises for this purpose from the drive component manufacturing company SKF.

The specialist for propulsion and power solutions Tognum is expanding its international production network with a new MTU engine assembly and manufacturing plant in Aiken, South Carolina (USA). It will replace the existing assembly plant in Detroit and now offers Tognum the opportunity of producing engine parts in the US dollar region, developing new markets and responding more flexibly to changing market requirements. Production is scheduled to begin at the end of 2010.
